Former overachiever Lucy WillIams sucks at adulting. Recent divorce, check. Pending lawsuit, check. A move back to Boston to live with her mother, triple check. It can't get much worse, right? When she starts her new marketing job at EXtreme Effects, she's positive shit’s stopped hitting the fan. Sure, what she's advertising is a little ... unorthodox, but it pays the bills. And since she's seconds away from becoming Lucy Williams: Wednesday Night Bingo Enthusiast, she needs money to get the hell out of her mother’s house. The only problem is her boss, Mr. Extreme himself: Jace Exley. He’s everything any sane woman dreams of—alpha, successful, ridiculously gorgeous. He's also Lucy’s worst nightmare. Because like every overachiever, she has that underachiever she brushed off. The slacker who, once upon a time ago, was the object of her dirtiest schoolgirl fantasies. Jace Exley—with his sarcastic smirk and delicious accent—just happens to be that guy. And the friction between them? Well, that's the only adulting Lucy seems to be winning at

Emily Snow has left me reeling from this book! Friction is a sexy read that every romance reader needs to pick up!

After catching her ex-husband in a compromising position with someone, Lucy's decides to divorce and leave the business they built together and move back in with her mother until she can find another job and place for herself. It doesn't turn out to be quite that easy, especially with her ex-husband job-blocking her at every turn. When she applies for a marketing job at EXtreme Effects, she wasn't prepared for what exactly the job entailed - but she certainly doesn't back down from a challenge. To make things even more interesting, her new boss turns out to be the hot British guy she knew back in high school - the guy that was in every girls dreams.

With his crude sense of humor and accent that makes any woman melt vs Lucy, an overachiever and a woman that gets things done, is it any wonder that these two will cause a friction?

Going into this story, I was very skeptical; it was a huge 50/50 on whether I would like it or not. Fortunately, I really did enjoy it - so much so that I finished it in just a day. This book was my first read from the author and I am very excited to see what else she releases because this book was fabulous with a capital F!

Lucy is for sure a character - her need to be almost half an hour early to everything, to always have everything perfect and finished in time..she was a character that not only made me laugh, but I could also in a way relate to her. Jace was a broody, crude and occasionally cocky character, which was completely opposite from Lucy, so it was definitely fun seeing those two together. These two are the kind of characters that you can't help but root for and fall in love with.

If you’re looking for a New Adult read that will give you all the feels (*cough* Jace* ) then you have to pick up Friction. I read this book in just a day and immediately after finishing, I knew this one was gem. My feels are skyrocketing with this book and it's characters and I seriously can't recommend it enough!
