| Review | Boomerang by Noelle August

Happy Monday!

I've got so many things to do, it's crazy! Recently, I've been designing a lot of things in my Photoshop. So far, I've designed a few fan art swag such as, bookmarks and postcards and I am so excited to print them out so I can use them! I'm also thinking about doing giveaways with some of them, so keep an eye out for that!

I also have lots of posts planned for my blog through the remaining days of August and then the entire month of September. It's crazy people! But I am so excited! I currently just finished a Kindle read (thanks to mom for letting me use her gorgeous e-reader!) and my review for that will be up very shortly! Soon after, I will need to start on some of ARC's I've received because they are due in just a few short weeks and I want to have reviewed them before the release date. So many books, SO little time, right?

But for now, please enjoy my review for this cute and sexy read and don't be shy in letting me know what you guys think in the comment below! :)

Title: Boomerang
Author: Noelle August
Genre: New Adult,  Romance, Contemporary
Release Date: July 8th, 2014
Publisher:  William Morrow Paperbacks

MY RATING: 5 BOOMERANGS!
Welcome to Boomerang.com, the dating site for the millennial gen with its no-fuss, no-commitments matchups, and where work is steamier than any random hook-up. Mia Galliano is an aspiring filmmaker. Ethan Vance has just played his last game as a collegiate soccer star. They’re sharp, hungry for success, and they share a secret. Last night, Ethan and Mia met at a bar, and, well . . . one thing led to another, which led to them waking up the next morning—together. Things turned awkward in a hurry when they found themselves sharing a post hookup taxi . . . to the same place: Boomerang headquarters. What began as a powerful connection between them is treated to a cold shower courtesy of two major complications. First, Boomerang has a strict policy against co-worker dating. And second, they’re now competitors for only one job at the end of summer. As their internships come to an end, will they manage to keep their eyes on the future and their hands off each other, or will the pull of attraction put them right back where they started?

"A cute and sexy read! Boomerang will leave you smiling and walking out like you hit the jackpot!"

Diving into the book, we see our main protagonist Mia wake up beside a total and handsome stranger, and she doesn't remember any of the details; not even his name. Things get a whole lot more complicated when they both find out that they will be in interning at Boomerang. The catch? Both of them will be competing for the one job Boomerang is offering.

Although they intern for a dating company, Boomerang has a strict no dating policy and no matter how much chemistry and passion they shared the night before, they have no choice but to put that all behind them and try their best to win that job. But will their attraction for each other get in the way of that...?

Before I started this book, I was ecstatic. I was up for a cute, fun read and that was exactly what I got! From the very first page, I was in love and I couldn't wipe the smile off of my face.

Usually when I come across a book that has been co-written, I tend to get a little nervous with it because of how people's writing styles tend to be different from one another. But when reading, I felt connected to the story and half the time I was curious to know who wrote which chapter because the style was so identically good. The writing style was vivid, spot on and it made me excited to turn the page. Definite props to the authors for the great writing!

With our main protagonist, Mia Galliano, what a breath of fresh air! I absolutely adored this character from the minute I met her. Funny, smart, classy and strong, she was everything I love in a character and more. There were moments where I felt like I wanted to smack some sense into her and  tell her to go after her man, but it all ended up working perfectly. Overall, I absolutely adored Mia and she is definitely on my "favorite character" list!

With our hero, Ethan Vance, holy-moly what a hottie! He's handsome, smart, athletic, and caring. (I think the author described my perfect guy here, people!) When reading his POV, I was so intrigued to learn more about him and would always smile at his witty remarks or how much he cared for Mia. Seriously, if I could jump in a book and snag someone out, it would be Ethan! *fans self*

I think it's safe to say that I absolutely loved this book! It was such a fun, cute, sexy read and I look forward to starting on the second book of the series! I would highly recommend picking this one up because you won't regret it! Here's to hoping there *might* be a novella about these two characters again. What, a girl can't dream? ;)

Happy reading!

  4. I understand what you mean! Reading books with co-writers are a bit intriguing since most of the time you don't know who is actually writing which is actually awesome since they are usually in sync :D I'm glad that you loved this! I wasn't really interested in reading this one, but maybe I'll try it if I get the chance :D
